“I COULDN’T REALLY SEE, FOR SUNLIGHT IN MY EYES”

SPARKLING EYES

I don’t think
He sees that sparkle
In her eyes anymore
He hears a voice
He don’t hear words
When she talks anymore

And nothing now
Is gonna change the way that feels
No amount of dreaming
Is gonna change the way that feels
It’s just the way that it is

To get your heart back to zero
To lose your head in the clouds
To get your heart back to zero
To lose your head in the clouds
You need sparkling eyes

I don’t believe
He sees the beauty
In her face anymore
He sees a smile
But he don’t hear joy
When she laughs anymore

I’m telling you that’s the way it is
You gotta let it flow

AS SHE COMES HOME

I was swearing on my bible
I was looking out to sea for you
I saw our worlds colliding
I saw a broken moon turn blue

And can you say, whatever’s on your mind
Is troubling your heart

And I dream about
The colour in her eyes
About the pain in her heart
As she comes home

And I dream about
The way she breathes her air
About the way I fall apart
As she comes home

I was reconciling memories
Thinking am I good enough for you
I was swinging on a rainbow
I was looking out to sea for you

SPEED OF LIGHT

I couldn’t really see
For sunlight in my eyes
I couldn’t really breathe
She took me by surprise

She’s hitting on me with
The speed of light

I couldn’t really hear what you hear
Or see what what you see
I couldn’t really dream what you dream
Or breathe how you breathe

I couldn’t really dream
For demons in my mind
I couldn’t really hear
The speed it made me blind

LAY ME DOWN

Well I’m somewhere in between

What I am and what I seem

It’s gonna take you to

Lay me down

To show me what I am

Or could have been

When you say you remember me

There are blue skies in my eyes

Remember me

Exactly as I was

Remember me

Filling up your prayers

THE NORTHERN BOY

She saw him
And she fell for him
And he thought it was forever

He saw her
And he wanted her
And she believed in forever

Don’t blame it on the
Northern Boy in her eyes
Or any of the love songs
She waited for you

Blame it on the last time
You never said
I love you

CLEAR

It’s clear to me
That you are broken
Inside and out
It’s clear to me
That you are trying
To find your way

So let me show you
By opening up your eyes
Let me show you
By taking you down the
Road to light

And all that you need
You can have
Right here, right now
And all that I have
You can have
Right here, right now

It’s clear to me
That some things are better
Just left unsaid
It’s clear to me
That nothing will change
The way that this ends
